Leigh's Wedding!

One of my best friends from college got married this weekend in Decatur! Leigh is so special to me. We lived together for a year in college and then also in Birmingham before Robert and I got married. It was so special to be a part of her wedding. And, our other college roommate, Julia, flew in from Colorado for all the festivities!

It really was a super fun girls weekend. Here are some pics from the lingerie shower at our friend Jennifer's home in Huntsville.

We then proceeded to Decatur (or D-Rock as apparently the natives like to call it) for the bachelorette portion of the evening. Unfortunately the bar scene is Decatur is slightly lacking, so we ended up at a place more like a sports bar where Leigh knew everyone (think Decatur's version of the Cheers bar) but still had tons of fun.

Yes, the groom crashed the bachelorette party! Guess he didn't have much to do either.

The bridesmaids' luncheon was at this cute little tea room in Hartselle. Leigh looks so much like her sisters. The entire family is nearly identical. It's crazy how similar they look. That Prickett gene pool must be strong. Lyndsey, the sister on the left, flew in from China for the wedding. She is finishing her first year of mission work there with Campus Crusade for Christ.

The rehearsal dinner featured Big Bob Gibson's BBQ, which was quite delicious. They have a great white BBQ sauce that I loved. Apparently my father-in-law, who has some roots in Decatur, was quite jealous we got to partake of Big Bob Gibson's BBQ, which he considers to be some of the best.

And there she is leaving the reception. Luckily, the groom was in tow. Though I think Leigh was so ready to start her honeymoon and be done with wedding stuff that she would have left without him! Love you, Leigh! So excited for you and Justin!
